Peanut Butter Banana Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (can be substituted with rice or coconut flour for a grain free option)

  • ½ banana, mashed

  • ⅓ cup peanut butter (I used Peanut Butter & Co. 'Smooth Operator')

  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seed

  • ¼ cup almond milk (unsweetened)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.

  • Mix ingredients together thoroughly using a spatula until well combined.

  • Roll out mixture on a floured surface to approximately ¼". Cut into desired shapes. Repeat with remaining dough.

  • Place on a nonstick baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Frozen Pupsicles

Ingredients:

¼ cup peanut butter (unsalted/no sugar added) ½ cup plain yogurt (I used 2% Greek) 1 ripe banana 1 teaspoon ground flax seed (optional) Splash of unsweetened almond milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into ice cube trays or small bowls (I used Kong ice cube trays & the Bonz mini silicon tray)

Note: Freeze until solid. Remove from freezer 5-10 minutes before serving to soften.

Chicken Wild Rice Treats

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups buckwheat flour (I used Bob's Red Mill)

  • 4 Tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons fresh mint, finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon pure honey

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • water (approx. 1-3 tsp)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • In a large bowl, stir buckwheat flour, parsley and mint leaves together until combined

  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and honey.

  • Pour olive oil-honey mixture into the flour and stir. Add egg and stir until well combined.

  • Knead dough with hands to thoroughly mix the ingredients together. Add a teaspoon of water at a time to help the dough come together. This should take about 3-5 minutes.

  • Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to approx. ¼" thick.

  • Cut into desired shapes with cookie dough cutter.

  • Place biscuits onto a nonstick baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Note:

Store biscuits in an airtight container in the fridge to keep fresh.

Puppy Power Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ⅔ C almond milk (unsweetened!)

  • 1 cup chopped carrots

  • ½ C greek yogurt (plain)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender.

  • Blend until smooth.

Note:

Serve on top of food, in a bowl, or frozen! Makes approximately 4 small servings.
